The one where I spent a night at a Finnish prison
Hotel Katajanokka dates back to the 1800s where the building served as a county prison and pre-trial detention centre. The prison was finally closed in 2002.
Looking at how the building has managed to transform into a hotel while keeping a lot of its heritage and history is simply amazing!
I managed to snag a good steal off Agoda for S$240 per night, which I felt was very reasonable by Finnish standards. Breakfast is included in the room price and the spread was pretty good!
Tram number 4 gets you to Hotel Katajanokka from the city centre in 10 mins.
